How to ... - Self Evaluation
What role(s) did you take on in the group?
Team leader/organiser, illustrator for poster designs and creator of advertisement posters.
How well do you think you performed in the role(s)?
I think I worked OK, but not as good as I could have done. I feel that I lacked motivation due to lack of interest in our chosen subject matter, which we all could have addressed.
How well do you think you worked as a group?
We worked very well with each other as in we got along and there were no disputes, but I think we could of worked a lot harder because we were honestly not very productive.
What were the positives of working in a group?
More idea input, more work can be produced (theoretically)
What were the negatives of working in a group?
We found it hard to come together and meet outside of college hours.
What will you do differently next time?
Next time I would make sure that we all agree on the subject matter if we have the opportunity to, so that all team members are interested and motivated enough to do some work!
Where could you have improved your resolution?
We could have done something more creative/ diverse/ innovative, and produced a lot more.
What were the strengths of your presentation?
The final product looked very professional, worked well and served it's purpose.
'How to conduct a presentation in front of your new class' - Self Evaluation.
What role(s) did you take on in the group?
I shared the role of idea input with the rest of the group, made a lot of decisions on ideas, took the role of researching into our subjects and related facts, I created the poster, and i helped to prepare the presentation with the rest of the group.
How well do you think you performed in the role(s)?
I think i performed well in time management skills, ensuring that any tasks i undertook were finished without the stress of pressure from limited time remaining. I also feel that i performed well in the creation of the poster itself as everyone in the group and from other groups had positive feedback to give, and commented on its well-matched coodination with other artwork created for this brief.
How well do you think you worked as a group?
I think overall each member of the group worked in harmony in terms of everyone taking on roles and bringing the work together with little dispute and ease. We were organised and punctual but found that we share some differences in choice of style and technique, which at times caused disagreement.
What were the positives of working in a group?
A bigger range from ideas, ongoing peer evaluation from other group members, and being able to share tasks/workload.
What were the negatives of working in a group?
Sometimes a clash of ideas and styles, different opinions and not knowing everyones strengths and weaknesses well enough for everyone to be confident to assume different roles.
What will you differently next time?
Get to know every group member a little better to learn their strengths and weaknesses beforehand.
Where could you have improved your resolution?
Ironically, considering our personal group brief - more preparation should have been done for our presentation to ensure everyone knew exactly what they were doing.
What were the strengths of your presentation?
Although there was little preparation, I found our presentation to be clear, informative, confident and chatty, possibly because of the lack of extensive preparation, it felt a little less formal - perhaps a good thing?
